If you'd like to help out with putting on the best new media un-conference in town, we'd love to have you! We need help before the event as well as on the day of the event. Check the list below to see what interests you and contact our Volunteer Coordinator Courtenay Rogers via the contact form to let her know what you’d like to do. (Be sure to include your real name and a phone number so we can stay in touch).
TBA
-Posters: Help hang and distribute posters around town. We need a crew of 6-8 volunteers to cover downtown and other select areas. Time: TBA. Contact Courtenay Rogers for more info.
FRIDAY, MARCH 5
-Swag Bags: We need 6-8 people to pack the goodie bags and a team leader to take responsibility for scheduling the packing party and getting materials to the venue. Time: TBA. Contact Courtenay Rogers for more info.
SATURDAY, MARCH 6
-Load-in/Set-up/Load-out: In addition to event coordinators who should be present for load-in/set-up/load-out, we will need 4 people at the venue on Saturday at 7:00 am and 4 people to assemble about 3:45 pm at the registration desk for Load-out on Saturday. This doesn't have to be the same 4 people, but that would be helpful. Report to Production Coordinator.
-Registration/Information Desk: We’ll need 8 people at the desk during peak check-in/registration time from 7:15 am - approx. 9:30 am. The rest of the day we’ll only need 2-3 at a time actually “working the desk” for information or late registrations. We’ll need a team leader to manage rotations on and off the desk throughout the day. Arrive at venue about 7:15 am Saturday and report to Volunteer Coordinator Courtenay Rogers.
-Program Management: These folks need to be on top of their game and in tune with the schedule so we’d like to have the same 4 people all day, but we could get 8 if folks want to rotate in and out the first and second “halves” of the day (8:00-12:00, 12:00-4:00). Responsibilities will be to manage sessions and provide general assistance/info to attendees and speakers in the session rooms. Report to Program Coordinator Jason Beck.
-Video: We need 4 people to assist with video. Responsibilities will be coordinating set-up with Tech Team and recording presentations in each session room the day of event. Report to Video Coordinator May Hwen at Set-up on Saturday at 7:00 am.
-Runner: Must be available all day Saturday to assist with general event issues and function as “runner” day of event. Must have reliable transportation and be willing to leave the site at any moment to support event needs. Arrive at venue about 7:00 am Saturday and report to Volunteer Coordinator Courtenay Rogers.
