Help Produce PodCamp: Volunteer!

If you'd like to help out with putting on the best new media un-conference in town, we'd love to have you! We need help before the event as well as on the day of the event. Check the list below to see what interests you and contact our Volunteer Coordinator Sam Bradley via the contact form to let her know what you’d like to do. (Be sure to include your real name and a phone number so we can stay in touch).

-Posters Distribution: Help hang and distribute posters around town. We need a crew of about 12 volunteers to cover downtown and other select areas and a team leader to coordinate distribution. Time: TBA. Contact Volunteer Coordinator Sam Bradley for more info.

-Swag Bags: We need a crew of 6-12 people to pack the goodie bags and a team leader to take responsibility for scheduling the packing party and getting the materials to the venue. Time: TBA. Contact Swag Bag Team Leader Les Gebhardt for more info.

SATURDAY, MARCH 26
-Set-up/Tear-down: In addition to event coordinators who should be present for Set-up/Tear-down, we will need 6 people on Saturday at 7:00 am for Set-up and 6 people at 4:15 pm for Tear-down. Report to Production Coordinator Maynard Garrett at the Registration/Information Desk.

-Registration/Information Desk: In the morning, we’ll need about 8 people to staff check-in/registration, including handing out swag bags and t-shirts. The rest of the day we’ll only need two at a time actually “working the desk” for information and late arrivals. We’ll need a team leader to manage registration and coordinate rotations on and off the desk throughout the day. Arrive at venue 30 minutes before the doors open on Saturday and report to Volunteer Coordinator Sam Bradley.

-Runner: We'll need one runner for the morning and another one for the afternoon to assist with general event issues and function as “runner” on the day of the event. Must have reliable transportation and be willing to leave the site at any moment to support event needs. The morning runner will pick up coffee on the way to the venue; the afternoon runner will return the coffee equipment. Report to Volunteer Coordinator Sam Bradley.

-Program Management: These folks need to have an assertive/take-charge attitude. Responsibilities will be to manage sessions and provide general assistance/info to attendees and speakers in the session rooms. Report to Program Manager.
