A History of PodCamp Nashville

In the winter of 2008, Dave Delaney, Marcus Whitney and Kelly Stewart launched the first PodCamp Nashville.

Both Dave and Marcus had a passion for podcasting and creating digital content. Dave began podcasting in 2005 in one of the first parenting podcasts, Two Boobs and a Baby. Marcus hosted Pro-PHP in the early days of podcasting.

PodCamp Nashville was adopted from the original PodCamp in Boston, created by Christopher S. Penn and Chris Brogan.

The first PodCamp Nashville was held at Cannery Ballroom on February 9, 2008. Out of town speakers included podcasting legend, C.C. Chapman and best selling author, Joseph Jaffee. Not to mention an array of Nashville's finest took to the stage to share their knowledge on blogging, vlogging, SEO and much more.

In March 2009, PodCamp Nashville moved to Vanderbilt Owen Business School. The day was a huge success, bringing hundreds of people together to share stories, tips and case studies about using social media and the real time web.

In 2010, we moved to our current location: Cadillac Ranch. PodCamp Nashville continues to grow every year. We expect 2011 to be even bigger and better than prior years. See you there!
