I bet you are a blogger in some fashion or form. If you are, then you probably have a sizable number of readers. So whats next? I am sure you can go on with just that for years to come. But at some point, your fan-base would have higher expectations of you? How will you meet their expectations? Would scheduling more write-time to get more blog posts out be enough? Or are you ready to take it to the next level?
My answer to all of the above starts with falling in love with my voice. A learned man once told me "if you don't love your voice, no one else will." Ok, I made that up but I'm sure some learned guy would say that some day, probably on a podcast.
Yes, a podcast.
Do you think the Kindle is famous just 'coz it can store thousands of books and you can carry them all in your handbag or man-purse? Did you know that the Kindle can also read to you when you are driving? The world is getting busier and people want to make the best use of their time. So if your write on and do only that, your digital world will pass by in a click and you wont even know it.
With text-to-read and audiobooks and online radio and podcasting, I say it's time to fall in love with your voice once again. I am on that journey and shifting my focus from blogging to podcasting. Like Bob, I'm also taking baby steps and I hope to share some of that learning with you in this introductory session about what it takes to launch your first podcast episode. Hopefully, I will be able to inspire you just enough for you to get you started.
